About The Role

PM Secure is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to perform planning, scheduling,
and controlling of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As a Planning Engineer at PM Secure, you will play a key role in ensuring effective project control and performance monitoring. You will:

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Establish and maintain systems to monitor progress, performance, and key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that aligns with project objectives and deliverables.
  • Evaluate contractors’ and consultants’ program(s) to ensure compliance with approved plans and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in the analysis of delay events, and Extension of Time claims (EoT) submissions.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and other planning deliverables for management and clients.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Contracts, and Cost teams to ensure integrated project control.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies for schedule delays.
  • Participate in progress and coordination meetings, providing planning insights to support decision-making.
  • Perform other planning and project control duties as assigned by the Project Director or Planning Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Planning and Controls within the UAE construction sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and other project planning tools
  • Strong Ms. Office Skills (specially Excel & PowerPoint)
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, critical path analysis, and overall project control principles, as well as contractual frameworks, claims analysis, and Extension of Time (EoT) processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
